  This site is soooooooooooooo helpful!!! I shall come to Medan with my husband (he’s Italian) and just like you mention, “Ngak zaman lagi muter-muter di jalan kebingungan mencari makanan.” Anyway, my husband and I are pesco-vegetarians, do you have any recommendations regarding vegetarian and/or seafood restaurants…? I am from Medan but as far as I remember (let’s say 10 years ago?), the vegetarian cuisine was not renowned… Thank you and keep up the cool work, guys!!! BRAVI!!!

    Thanks for your comment. As far as I know there aren’t many vegetarian dishes out there in Medan. Someone here mentioned there are less than 50 places. And I apologize for not creating a vegetarian category. However you can filter out the seafood and vegetarian tags, using this link:

    If you’re not strict vegan, I can suggest you visit some places like soto sinar pagi or soto kesawan for example, and request them to replace meat with seafood.
